Business
STATUS
Brian McGurgan Insurance is an Independent Intermediary who will act
as your Agent and accept responsibility for the advice given and for
arranging your insurance. We deal with a number of Insurers and are
regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
SERVICE
As a customer of Brian McGurgan Insurance, we want to ensure that you
enjoy the best possible service. Our service includes advising you on
your insurance needs, arranging your insurance cover with Insurers to
meet your requirements and helping you with changes you wish to make.
We will also assist you with any claim, but in some instances (to
speed up the claims process), it may be necessary for you to contact
the Insurer directly. This will be explained when you first contact us
to make a claim.
Brian McGurgan Insurance will act on your behalf.
COMPLETION OF PROPOSAL FORMS
Your attention is particularly drawn to the importance of any of the
Insurers Declaration on Proposals. Any failure to disclose facts
material to the insurance or any inaccuracies in your answers could
invalidate the cover. A contract of insurance requires you to disclose
all relevant facts and to give full and true answers to all questions.
It is also important that you continue to inform us, throughout the
term of the policy, of any changes that may influence the assessment
of the risk.

VEHICLE MODIFICATIONS
Vehicle modifications from the standard specification must be
informed, as Insurers may refuse cover in certain circumstances.
Modifications may include, but are not restricted to, alloy wheels,
spoilers, engine modifications etc. If in any doubt, please contact a
member of staff for advice.
RENEWALS
Brian McGurgan Insurance will endeavour to send you renewal terms 21
days before your renewal date, subject to us having received any
required documentation, but it is your responsibility to ensure that
your cover is maintained as is necessary to comply with the relevant
legal requirements. We will check if your current Insurance still
satisfies your requirements and, if appropriate, will send you details
of alternative quotations.CANCELLATION OF POLICIES
Should you wish to cancel your policy at any point, you must confirm
this to us in writing and in the case of Motor or Liability policies,
Certificates should be returned.
CHARGES
In addition to premiums charged by the Insurer we may, at our
discretion, make the following charges to cover administrative costs
for these specified activities:

All premiums are due by the renewal date, however we can facilitate
credit terms on the following basis:

Cheques should be made payable to Brian McGurgan Insurance.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Brian McGurgan Insurance will only use and disclose the information we
have about you in the normal course of arranging and administering
your insurance, and we will not disclose any information to any other
parties without your consent.
COMPLAINTS
It is our intention to provide you with a high level of customer
service at all times. If there are occasions when we do not meet your
